Gummy Candy

A delicious, old fashioned way to enjoy your peaches. This is a chewy candy everyone will be sure to love.

  • 1.25 lbs. fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 2 cups white sugar

  • 3 oz. liquid pectin

  • Sugar for sprinkling when finished



  • Line 8x8 baking dish with plastic wrap.

  • Place peaches and lime juice in blender and blend until smooth.

  • Pour mixture into pan and place on medium heat. Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar and bring to a boil. Stir continuously, cooking for about 15 minutes until mixture thickens.

  • Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups of sugar along with liquid pectin. Heat to about 205 degree Fahrenheit, and stir continuously for about 10 minutes over heat. Remove from heat when done.

  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Be sure the temperature of the mixture does not exceed 205 degrees Fahrenheit before pouring into dish.

  • Shake gently to remove any air bubbles. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight for at least 8 hours.

  • Take out of refrigerator and let sit until room temperature.

  • Sprinkle sugar onto silicone baking mat. Invert peach gummy mixture on top of silicone baking mat. Remove plastic wrap and sprinkle with sugar.

  • Cut into bite-size pieces and serve.
