Cobbler Cookies

It's peach cobbler... in a cookie! These delicious treats will add variety to any cookie jar.

Prep time: 35 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Yield: Makes about 4 dozen cookies



  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1 cup chopped fresh peaches (peel peaches if preferred)


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • In a large bowl, cream you butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract and beat mixture together.

  • In separate bowl, whisk flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Gradually beat mixture into separate bowl.

  • Stir in peaches after mixture is well beat.

  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper and place tablespoon sized balls of cookie dough on top of parchment paper.

  • Bake for 14-16 minutes. Set out for 3-5 minutes to cool. Enjoy.
