Peach Cobbler Cookies

It's peach cobbler...in a cookie! These delicious treats will add variety to any cookie jar.
Prep time: 35 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Yield: Makes about 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh peaches, chopped (peel peaches if preferred)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract and beat mixture together.

In separate bowl, whisk flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Gradually beat dry mixture into butter/sugar mixture.

When everything is well combined, stir in peaches.

Line baking sheets with parchment paper and place tablespoon-sized scoops of cookie dough on top of parchment paper.

Bake for 14-16 minutes, and let cool 3-5 minutes. Enjoy!
