There aren't many combinations that can beat the one-two punch of Southern peaches and Southern bourbon. With this recipe, you get both!

Please remember to drink responsibly!

Prep time: 5 min
Yield: 1 cocktail

  • 1 oz. brown sugar simple syrup (see instructions below for making your own)

  • 1/2 cup peaches, diced

  • 3-4 large mint leaves

  • 2 shots bourbon

  • Splash of ginger ale

  • Ice cubes

  • Peach slice and/or mint leaf for garnish

  • To make your own simple syrup, mix equal parts brown sugar and hot water, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool until room temperature, and place in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

  • Add peaches, mint, and simple syrup to bottom of cocktail shaker. Lightly muddle until peach juices are released. (Don't over-muddle or it will make the mint bitter.)

  • Add shots of bourbon.

  • Fill with ice and shake until chilled.

  • Strain into a glass filled with a few fresh ice cubes.

  • Top with a splash of ginger ale and garnish with peach slice.

Note: To make a non-alcoholic version, substitute extra ginger ale for the bourbon.
